Tourmoor

County Sligo

It is said St Lughaid was ordained bishop here in the 6C by St Kevin. Near a late church there is an altar, Cross Slabs, prayer stones, and a 'saint's stone'. The latter is the place where St Lughaid knelt in prayer. St Patrick is also said to have thrown a stone from here and a holy well emerged at the place where it landed.
