Seir Kieran

County Offaly

St Ciaran (5C) = Saighir founded the monastery here. Earthworks are evident, these might be an enclosure or they might be later. There is a small Cross and a decorated base. There is a small 7-9C ring-headed cross, probably meant to be a grave-marker, and four grave slabs in the church vestry and the remains of a Round Tower. There is a Holy Well and a Holy Tree. 'There is also a late mediaeval defensive 'round' tower.
