This uninhabited island lies between Clare Island and Inishturk and is reckoned to have been a place of hermitage in the 7th c. Even though this island is difficult and sometimes dangerous to visit it still draws the occasional pilgrim. The island contains several interesting archeological remains, including cross slabs, hermitages, and a church.
