Inisfallen

 County Kerry

St Finan Leper (7C) founded a monastery on Lough Leane (or was it St Faithleann a hermit at Ardfinnan Co Tipperary?). The Annals of Inisfallen were written here. On the island is a 12C Oratory, as well as the Abbey church, much of which was built earlier. there is also a High Cross.
