Church Island, Valencia Harbour

 County Kerry (Iveragh Peninsula)

This tiny island in Valentia Harbour had a little monastery, with oratory and hut, holy well and shrine. During excavations, the traces of an early wooden oratory were found, a cross was discovered inscribed with Ogham writing; which appeared to have been added later.
