Fothair na Manach

 County Kerry (Dingle Peninsula)

Fothair na Manach is one of the remotest, most spectacular sites in Ireland and barely accessible. It lies just north of Mt Brandon where the land slopes very steeply down to the sea. On the slope was a monastic settlement.
