St Gobnait

County Galway

St Gobnait has a wonderful small 11C Church here. Though her fame is linked to Ballyvourney (qv) in Co Cork, she may have been a native of nearby Co Clare. There are 3 outdoor altars, 2 Bullaun Stones and a clochan, possibly the cell of a hermit.
