St Cavan

County Galway

St Cavan founded a monastery here. There is an 11C Oratory to which has been added, at opposite ends, a chancel and sacristy. Nearby is St Cavan’s grave and a wonderful recumbent Cross Slab; the grave has many miracles attributed to it. He was a disciple of St Enda, and posiilby the brother of St Kevin.
