Renvyle

Connemara, County Galway


The Seven Sisters of Connemara preached the Gospel in the West and several holy wells in Connemara are dedicated to them, as is the church and holy well in Renvyle.

The Renvyle Peninsula has been described as an "Archaeological Garden". There are prehistoric monuments and standing stones. Of the ancient church know as the Church of the Seven Sisters almost nothing is known.
