St Molaise (570) founded the monastery here in Lower Lough Erne. There is the 12C ‘house’ built for the remains of the saint, a 12 C Round Tower and the footings of another, a 13C Church, and the 15/16C Abbey Church on the hill. His Book Shrine is in the National Museum.
