St Ronan (7C) founded a church here; part of a mediaeval building survives. A 12C carving of a figure bearing book and cross may belong to the tomb-shrine of St. Ronan; this is now in the Fermanagh Co Museum in Castle Enniskillen OS 27 363 318 marked see Irish Hermits and Tomb Shrines |
