Dalkey

County Dublin

St Begnet (also Bega) has a 10C Church (there was probably a wooden one before it in 9C), and there is a Cross Slab in churchyard and a Grave Slab in the Centre. The Grave Slab is one of a type found in the area of South Dublin and is called the Rathdown type. They may be of pagan origin, taken over and redesigned as Christian grave markers
