St Tassach  & St Mernoc were hermits here before 500. St Tassach may have got here by the north sea route from Saul/Raholp, (as St Conal may have done for Iniskeel) (qv) It is a truly astonishing place – if you can get to it.. There is a church, oratory, 2 cells, 2 Holy Wells and 9 Cross Slabs.
