Bruckless

County Donegal

St Conal (596) has a Holy Well, an altar with Cross Slab and notch-stone. It is also called Relig which in the context means not so much ‘relic’ but graveyard. There may well have been an early church foundation here. The Cross Slab was not to be found when I visited. There was also once a healing stone kept on top of the notch stone. If taken away to use for healing it has not been returned.
