Kilnaruane

County Cork

St Ruan is found in the name. There is a pillar stone/high cross here at once was a monastery. It has unusual decorated panels. On the east face Christ calms the storm, on the west face there is a cross and Saint Anthony and St Paul breaking bread in the desert. The panels on the other side showing a boat with four oarsmen and a steersman, rowing through a sea of crosses.
