Noughaval

County Clare

St Mogua is credited as having founded a monastery here. Noughaval = Nuachongbháil = new monastic settlement. The present building is 12C though using earlier stonework. There is an altar and cross in the graveyard. The other building on site is the O’Davoren Chapel built in 1725
