St Maedoc (626)(=’my dear little Hugh’) was also called Mogue and Aidan. He was a pupil of St David of Wales. He founded the monastery here and many others.
        
There are 2 High crosses here, and a wonderful array of Cross Slabs and grave markers. There is also a Holy Well
